The Embassy is still accepting proposals for new Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP)
This year, the Embassy is again accepting proposals from local NGOs for new Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects. The deadline for the application is usually the end of May, but this year, in consideration of the impact of COVID-19, we are accepting applications after June.
In principle, the grant amount per project is less than 10 million yen, and is mainly intended to provide the necessary funds for small-scale projects that directly benefit the people of the target area for the purpose of economic and social development, based on the principle of human security. The project will focus on hardware development, including the construction of primary and secondary schools, provision of basic medical equipment for hospitals, and provision of agricultural equipment etc. (Soft component is covered if it is significant for the project such as training to utilize hard components funded by GGHSP.)
